When Janet Reakes created Australia's Virtual Immigration Wall of Honour in August 2000 she envisaged it would allow entries to be submitted free of charge for as far into the future as she could see.

Janetís genealogy friend and colleague Michele Stephens (publisher and editor of Australian Family Tree Connections magazine) recognised Janetís generosity in creating Australia's Virtual Immigration Wall of Honour and believed it was important that it continued in accordance with Janetís wishes.

Michele became the legal owner of Australia's Virtual Immigration Wall of Honour, purchased the Janet Reakes Genealogy domain name and ensured the website was professionally hosted.

Entries are free and there is no limit to the number that can be submitted.

Anyone who wishes to express their gratitude for Australia's Virtual Immigration Wall of Honour is welcome to make a small donation towards the domain name and web hosting costs. Any amount received in excess of of those costs will be donated to a genealogy project that would meet with Janetís approval, with details noted here.

Donations can be made using Amex, MasterCard and Visa cards via Australian Family Tree Connections magazineís secure website here
